I can see why you are such a moron fc. When you are at the beach... you can put on sunblock or put up and umbrella right? when co2 blocks the suns energy from reaching the lower atmosphere or the earth that is a cooling effect. you troll moron. 1. http://wattsupwiththat.com/2014/02/...-is-flat-wrong-on-climate-change/#more-103569 2. Professor Salby says.... "in the Real world, global temperature is not controlled exclusively by CO2 - as it is in the model world. In significant part, however, CO2 is controlled by global temperature, as it is in the proxy record. " 3. NASA.Science. not the agw nutters from nasa.climate says -- CO2 is one of the most efficient coolants in our atmosphere... Mlynczak is the associate principal investigator for the SABER instrument onboard NASAâs TIMED satellite. SABER monitors infrared emissions from Earthâs upper atmosphere, in particular from carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitric oxide (NO), two substances that play a key role in the energy balance of air hundreds of km above our planetâs surface. âCarbon dioxide and nitric oxide are natural thermostats,â explains James Russell of Hampton University, SABERâs principal investigator. âWhen the upper atmosphere (or âthermosphereâ) heats up, these molecules try as hard as they can to shed that heat back into space.â Thatâs what happened on March 8th when a coronal mass ejection (CME) propelled in our direction by an X5-class solar flare hit Earthâs magnetic field. (On the âRichter Scale of Solar Flares,â X-class flares are the most powerful kind.) Energetic particles rained down on the upper atmosphere, depositing their energy where they hit. The action produced spectacular auroras around the poles and significant1 upper atmospheric heating all around the globe. âThe thermosphere lit up like a Christmas tree,â says Russell. âIt began to glow intensely at infrared wavelengths as the thermostat effect kicked in.â For the three day period, March 8th through 10th, the thermosphere absorbed 26 billion kWh of energy. Infrared radiation from CO2 and NO, the two most efficient coolants in the thermosphere, re-radiated 95% of that total back into space. http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2012/22mar_saber/
"Exclusively"... "in significant part"... I didn't realize until now that Salby had qualified his statements. No one thinks global temperature is controlled exclusively by CO2, nor does anyone deny that historically, non-Man agents affected CO2 levels.
if you watch the video and see the graphs you will see that in the model world... co2 and temperature have a 1 to 1 relationship but in the real world they do not. he made that point very clear. that is also why... until about last many nutters were saying co2 drives temperatures... exclusively... then all of sudden they started saying when maybe the sun and the tides have something to do with it too. so while trolls like fc try to discredit salby... his work and the work of a few others... not only was the output from the models destroyed but so was the theoretical basis. Its why the IPCC and all the other nutters now talk of climate sensitivity being lower than they thought.
