Future Bankruptcy ticker list.

  1. I would say X and AA because we will not be able to compete against cheaper foreign steel and aluminum.

What other companies do you see going under in the next 5-10 years.

  2. My first thought, a good idea make a list. Then (sigh).... I think our gov't is going to rethink bankruptcy. We probably won't recognize a bk if we saw one.

P.s. I say Wall mart. I'm getting sick of that place. More and more private label, inferior vegetables, meat blows and the customers look like a bunch of dregs waiting for their case to be called in family court.

  3. WMT will dot go out, they represent the new America.

Another company I see going BK is Eastman Kodak. (EK)

  4. sumfuka

    sumfuka

I doubt W-Mart will be bankrupt, their monopolistic ways are even more threatening than Goldman's.

  5. Depends almost entirely on the price of fuel. If we go anywhere near "peak oil" pricing, the domestic steel industry will not only survive, it will explode in size.

Or put another way - a short on steel is a proxy short on oil (more accurately, a short of an oil bull).
