Baron, the post office lets you make a change of address over the internet. The only proof you need to show you are who you say you are, is by paying $ 1.00 at the end of the process with a CC. How about charging $5.00 for a lifetime ET membership? That could mean an extra 25-50K a year. Or just a $1.00 That would take care of intruders, forever.
easier, charge 1 cent lifetime and the person has to pay via PayPal. PayPal verifies the person has a credit card or bank account with a real name, and that will knock out a lot of multi aliases, shills, etc. Let people who refuse read posts, but not create posts. One thing I learned here, if I ever had a forum, do not let anyone post without at least a minimal verification. And don't allow clickable URLs unless they were on a pre-approved list (investopedia, Yahoo Finance, interactivebrokers, etc. etc.)
Awww how cute, like I don't have multiple Paypal accounts Oh yeah.... briksliks, new spammer ignore etc.. Cue the clowns
