Yeah I watched the now founder of VR-Trader (formerly "GreenTree Trading" for all you old school folks) punch his laptop out and break his screen into a thousand little pieces, if he had not turned out to be one of the biggest turds on the street it would have been hilarious.
Hey guys I ran the agency desk at worldco from 2000 to 2003 that place was a joke and a half cool people but no idea what was going on....it was better when we were on the 22nd floor sharing it with PTJP and Lawrence Group once we went downto the 8th floor it was all over.
Pretty funny stuff on this thread but no females trading on the floor I assume........? Or...if there are what are they like? http://imdb.com/gallery/granitz/080....onc?path=pgallery&path_key=Ferrell, Conchata
few things: headbutting the table(twice) spitting at your screen throwing the mouse and having it bounce back and hit you square in the forhead ----this is one of the better threads on ET(for entertainment purposes) Cheers
Great thread thanks for all the great stories. I work at home so missed most of this. Too much bashing each other going on in these threads and too much heaviness. Let's hear it for humor. Let's have some fun and help one another make money as best we can.
I went in Harbor Securities on day in 1999. The recruiter told me, "No one here is going to help you or train you. Every one here has his own style. If my computer is facing this way instead of that way one day, then I'll lose money." I observed the bums and losers in there, with the exception of a few known entities, and left with a bad impression and did not join. 2 Months later they went belly up, in December of 1999 when the market was in a parabolic ascent. I guess all their computers were facing this way and not that way.
I've seen a couple of funny ones... One time a trader made a type o, putting an extra 0. instead of 6000 shares, 60000 shares, the funny part was that when he saw that huge size in a usually dry stock he started using it as resistance... then the size got lifted... that's when he realized he was in 72k... the expression in his face was... priceless...
