    Hello,

I would like to know if european stocks are fungible across French, german, english and swiss exchanges.

Can I enter for example on Euronext and exit on Deutsche Borse since it's in the same currency? What about when it is in a different currency( swiss and english exchanges)?

Otherwise, are the fungible exchanges those that are subject to smart routing on IB?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Until MFid directive from EU a lot of european exchanges had monopolies. What security are you looking at?

For example, there is a lot of the CAC40 stocks( Euronext ) that are also listed on Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Zurich Exchanges. I know they are fungible between the german and swiss exchanges( smart routing ) but are they fungible with euronext?

    Thanks a lot.

For those wondering, stocks are not fungible between euro exchanges. They are fungible across different german exchange but not across german and french exchanges.
