I prefer "25% a year with 15% drawdown". Your Sharpe ratio and Risk Adjusted Returns will be much better and from my experience is more attractive to many investors.
Ryan, Do you accept investors at Helios? ElectricTradingtheGauntletSavant P.S. Sorry cannot find the Helios thread.
Not at this time. Helios also has certain restrictions regarding investors and legal structure, otherwise could get into regulatory requirements and could possibly be classified as a Commodity Pool, which Helios is not. In any case, this is getting off topic from the original posters question If you have other questions feel free to PM me.
etrades, Thanks for this thread. I have learned a lot because of it. Earn2Trades seems to be a well thought out program. It is a brilliant business plan for everybody and can give you additional ES trading power that you did not have in your personal account. It is like additional risk-free buying power found out of thin air... and I am all about leverage! Es P.S. I do not think any prop shops restrict your personal trading...but maybe they can restrict you from trading at their competitors...don't really know. Independent Contractor Status gives you a lot of freedom but it also gives you a 1099. UBER drivers can drive for LYFT...it has already been tested in court.
Hi Earn2Trade Ryan, Thank you for the reply. In answer to the first question on this thread, you have replied that options are longer hold is not allowed during the gauntlet. However, I am asking about the funded account. do you allow options and longer swing trades after the gauntlet with the actual account ?
Hey, I mentioned longer hold times is absolutely allowed in both the live account and Gauntlet. Options however are not allowed in either.
Thank you Earn2Trade Ryan. Why do you not allow futures options on the Funded account ? It need not be facility to short the options, but at least would be good to have long options to hedge the futs swing position.
It’s not something we or the prop firm are prepared to offer at this point. Partly because the Rithmic simulator isn’t quite ready for a realistic simulator on options. We just helped them dial it in for spreads. In the future we will offer options. If this is crucial to your strategy feel free to reach out to us via pm or email and when we are ready to beta options we can let you know. That said, if you can do without them for now that’s great as current customers will get first dibs on the beta.
