Can someone please recommend a reasonably priced tool that can: 1) Screen stocks by fundamental (eps, p/e, cash flow etc.) and technical (moving average, MACD, volume occilator etc.) 2) Backtest passing stocks in a portfolio using predefined entry and exit signals For example, I've heard that TradeStation can do 1 but not 2. Also, apparently Wealth-Lab Developer can do 2 but not the fundamental part of 1. I've tried VectorVest but their stock balance sheet fundamental data is very limited. thanks!
Try Zacks. Their software can generate and backtest models on both fundamentals and technicals. I've used it for a few years and if you know what you're doing, you can pull alot out of it. http://www.zackspro.com/index.asp
