Can't speak out the unspeakable. I give it a few moments before the "ruling class elite" police arrives to cancel you...

  3. He's an overweight Richard Simmons. If he fled the country, there's nowhere this cartoon-like character can hide.

Shaves his head and lives in a Jewish commune, they will protect him, maybe he'll also get a ticket to Israel where his actions will be celebrated.

White collar crime stats that involve more than a few millions probably lend his point quite some credibility...

As obvious as it is now that this was a huge con, I'm happier dealing with this than the con the government has been running for centuries and the central banks for 100 years. People will learn to self custody crypto, and if we do move in this direction, government won't be able to fleece the general public anymore.

For us red pilled men, its like going through your first heartbreak where you can't believe your true love could just drop you like a sack of potatoes. But when you learn how women operate, accept nature for what it is, then you come back stronger.

These events have been wonderful for outlining why self custody is important, and when you learn that there is nobody you can really trust with your money, even in traditional finance, the only option left becomes clearer.

It's honestly full speed ahead to a Bitcoin world. This last 300m that has been stolen by SBF is honestly nothing to what was stolen from all the pandemic relief and the trillions created out of thin air.

A sane person cannot call out this crypto fallout as a reason to give up on it without appreciating that the problem is magnitudes bigger with US dollars via the Fed and government.

yeah, except its kind of hard to recover when your life savings were stolen overnight from the place everyone swore by their mom's life would be safe from government overreach and other thieves. Self custody is an illusion. You can lock yourself in your own bunker and the bunker may be safe and you might have stored up resources to last a life time. But you can't interact with the outside world. The moment you move cryptos out of your wallet your savings are exposed to hacks, theft, and all sorts of other crimes. Good luck making the first move in this brave new world. I happily sit out this round and let guys like you take the fall.

So, come on, take one for the team and push ahead. Perhaps you get lucky and collect the first-mover price.

I honestly have no idea what you are trying to say.

Yes, if your life savings what on FTX, then its gone. And if your life savings is in cold storage, then what exactly have you lost? Your analogy of the bunker makes no sense because you can always leave the bunker. You can have a software wallet on your phone for spending.. lets say 1k worth. When in your bunker, you move crypto from cold storage to your phone. And then you leave the bunker and spend what you have on your phone.

Honestly, cold storage is like cash hidden under your mattress. Anyone takes cash for transacting, and nobody has to give you permission to spend it. As long as nobody finds your cash, your money can't be taken away from you. And what's even better about bitcoin is that since it doesn't exist in physical form like cash, taking it with you is much easier. If your cash is in the bank, you have to trust that the bank will give it to you when you ask, much like the crypto exchange. But if you have the cash under your mattress, you can spend it any time you want.

Now I agree that crypto is perhaps not ready yet for everyone to store their entire net worth in bitcoin via just a simple hardware wallet, but the technology is moving forward very quickly, and I can't even imagine what is in the pipeline for the next few years. But I have no doubt that as the monetary system continues to cause problem after problem, bitcoin will be adopted by more and more people as the solution.
