FTP server backup

  1. Ok,

    Let's say you created your website with some cheap designer like xara and host it on godaddy.com

    If for example, your website main page is saved as home.htm use the DOS copy command to do this copy home.htm index.htm.

    Now go to

    https://p3nwvpweb066.shr.prod.phx3.secureserver.net:8443/login_up.php3

    Enter in your user name and password. In here are also stats for your website.

    and login to your website. Go to files portion on httpdocs. Ok select upload, select index.htm in the directory on C hard drive. Up load it to the ftp server with the ftp upload.

    You will now be able to view your website on the internet.

    Now since you get some free data storage, you can also backup your important files to the ftp server since you are paying for the hosting fee anyway.

  3. Dropbox is also a better idea to take backup any file online.
