Please take a close look at the adapter - IT DOES NOT HAVE THE ****L BRACKET FOR HIGH/LOW PROFILE SLOTS I got hosed a while back when I bought this on ebay and it didn't come with the bracket. It works 100% fine. You **might** be able to get a generic bracket to fit or you can go to an Intel reseller - or if you buy or own one (new) they come from Intel with both a high & low profile bracket. This is a 64-bit PCI-X card but this will also run in a regular PCI slot. You will have trouble maintaining anything over 300mbit sustained if you run this in a standard PCI slot. In a PCI-X slot it will operate at 1000mbps (gigabit) speeds sustained for hours.
