  1. thanks for the response guys, when you speak of "robust" systems what does that mean and how do you pursue something like that

    I am working on "tweakability" currently, seriously. If markets change I am thinking that the setups will remain much the same but the entries are what changes. If markets are slow then the entries have to be of the type that are reliable but not real early in the move, if the markets are hot the entries can be less reliable and aimed more at getting in no matter what.

    An example of the difference between a slow market and a fast one with the same setup might be found in retraces. In a dying market an issue can run up on volume, retrace, and keep on retracing so you want to only enter on an unmistakably obvious sign of a run up after the retrace like price rising on increased volume. In a hot market every issue that runs up on volume and retraces is going to run up again so you likely will want to enter on the first sign of a reversal.
