Frosty's e-mini journal

  1. ... and all the above were true for Frost.

    1. He most definitely was trading like a drunk driver, overtrading and not taking "any" signal ... and then coming back the next day and doing it again.

    2. Consistently closing out of winning signals, letting losers run, being undercapitalized, putting on positions and then walk away from the screen without having a protective stop in place, not having any consistency whatsoever in taking signals, consistently starting out the day in the black and ending it in the red, no discipline, etc., etc., etc., ... well, yeah, I've never seen anyone on this forum actually publish that they were doing these things, so this behavior IS the worst I've ever seen on ET!

    3. Thinking you can make it in a year under pressure ???? - OKAY, yeah, that's a great idea!

... as far as floortrader was concerned, in his first thread I told him in detail how his greed got the best of him and that is why he took the sucker bet from Market Monk, now that he has learned how to sclap pretty well, HE COMES ON ET AND STARTS TALKING ABOUT A LEGAL WAY TO GET INSIDE INFORMATION ...:( - especially with what has been in the papers for the past oh, at least 5 years, that's a fools game if ever there was one. SEEMS LIKE I WAS DEAD ON WITH THAT ONE TOO!

I ain't brining'em down buddy, I'm pointing out the truth to'em, if they don't wanna see it fine, if they wanna do something constructive about it and fix it, that's fine too. Either way, you can use these forums as a learning ground to learn how to make money (intense processing of information under scrutiny will enhance the process by light years) or you can use them for "oh, I'm right behind you :D :D ", or "oh, here's one joke, and another, and another blah blah blah" etc.

If they got a problem with it they can let me know, actually it seems to be having some positive effect on Frost ..., but since it doesn't concern you, you don't need to worry about it. You just need to worry about your next joke, lameass!

    Later for you chump,

    Jimmy Jam

P.S. Ultimately, it doesn't matter, as I've already told ET I was done with the one-way-street of information flow on this thread anyway (just posted in response to you V77, my friend).

  3. Still have only taken that 1 signal, although a few signals have come up.... they are all crap today, not one of my signals have been any good.. not sure what the differnece is.. quite possibly the method may just be flawed and whatever small obersvation I made may not exist today... or at all anymore.... still just watching..

One day does not a pattern make.

  5. I am up +$19 on the day..... my signals for the most part are either A not working, or B have to get out quick right now, just not enough volatility or follow through on any moves, and my method is basically a trend following method. Without any follow through, kinda hard to get any good signals....

  6. Well I am pissed off to report I lost another $120 today.. I am now down to around $6,400... SO.. I am taking the advice of many here, and I will be sim trading starting next week, Will not stop sim trading until I have a verifiable method that works.. my problem is I lack a method that I believe in 100%..... I do not trust my methods....

So this weekend, and for the next few weeks while on sim, I will be trying out new methods, making observations, and trying to come up with something that will work...

  7. Here is a new method i'm working on, here are the signals as generated by QT. I would really apreciate some feedback on this, granted hard to tell anything from only a few days.. but if you notice anything very bad about it, I would love to hear about it, open to any critisism....

  8. Here is yesterdays: The way this method woudl be traded, is a stop would be set 2 points below the bar previous to the entry bar. Would shoot for about 10 pts.

  9. Looks like you would have made a tidy bundle if you would have just followed these moving averages up with a trailing stop.

Trading is really very simple, being constant and showing self control is were the 90% fail.

Stop changing your method, stick with it , trust me switching indicators, changing MA lengths will just add more confusion.

  10. mymini,

What do you mean just follow these moving averages up? Do you mean buying the crossovers? Simply buying the crossovers wont cut it, at least not without using very large stops.. Could you elaborarte a little, thanks for your help.
