Way to go Frost. Discipline is the hardest part of trading. Everybody struggles with it. One thing that always helped me is that I had a standard rule. If I have a bad day that is alright. But if I have a down week I had to spend a week in simulation. I only spent one week in simulation and it drove me nuts. I won every trade in simulation and kept wanting to jump back in. I didn't, I stayed true to myself and my rules. I think that really helped me. Good Luck, 4re
calling it a day, was up 211 a second ago, and entered a short at 11177, and it sat there a while and I started to doubt the position so I got out at 11177 and just took the comision loss... and NO sooner than did that it dropsdown to 11164.. oh well..... So ended the day up $207.... got to go move to a new apt anyway.... Hopefully tomororw is another good day
Already made 2 trades and am up $21 dollars...... I am overtrading again, and NOT entering on my correct signals.. but still early and now that I realize I am doing it, I can be extra careful to make sure my next entry is a good solid one...
up to +$63 now for the day..... Still trading too much and not letting my winners ride long enough.... I can do this!
Just made another trade up $115 now... looking pretty good... the last trade I executed exactly the way I wanted, was only a 10 pt gain.. but I played it a lot calmer and better than my previous trades today...
Good job. Now shut down your platform and go into simulation. While you are in simulation you can work on your exits. But the most important thing keep the money you made. 4re
picking up on the afternoon session now, grinding away up 133.... the thing is i'm WAY over trading.... sure i'm making my broker happy The afternoon session is the one that seems to ALWAYS get me, I am normally up over 100 when it starts and then things get iffy.. must make a strong effort to resist overtrading and look for my good entries ONLY....
If you do have to keep trading at least keep your eyes out to the downside. Looks to be forming a continuation pennant to the downside. Be safe though.
