    Make sure you start your trading career with the right firm and experienced mentors that will work with you.

    -Learn how to read the tape.

    -Money management will determine your staying power.

    -Look at the habits of those who win and those who lose.

    -Have a reasonable goal. Whether its per day/week/month. Stay small and disabuse yourself of the notion that you will own Chicago and New York in 6 months.

    -Compete only with yourself.
