Just saw an article mentioning Tesla has recalled 25% of their cars. Man, that seems like a lot. Also, didn't realize GM does quite a bit of the repairs for Tesla.
A recall in the familiar sense is having to take your car to the dealership for them to work on a fix which may take more than a day. The Tesla OTA updates are seamless and owners may not even be aware of them. So yes, they are very different and at this time only Tesla has that capability.
