I don't think it's possible for a swamp to clean itself.

‘Most of the GOP leadership has been compromised’ by Russian money: Trump biographer

A biographer who detailed the relationship between Donald Trump and the Russian mob explained that Russia’s financial links to the United States extend far beyond the president.

Craig Unger, author of House of Trump, House of Putin: The Untold Story of Donald Trump and the Russian Mafia, wrote in a Reddit AMA that one of the biggest surprise in his book is how Trump has been compromised “for decades.”
“Trump was first compromised by the Russians in the Eighties back in the days of the Soviet Union and the Cold War,” Unger wrote. “In 1984, my book shows, the Russian Mafia first began to use Trump real estate to launder money and it continued for decades and may have accounted for billions of dollars flowing to Trump.”

In 1998, he added, Trump took out full-page ads in the New York Times and the Washington Post after his first trip to Russia that touted “a foreign policy that was very anti-NATO.”

In the 90’s, Unger wrote, Russians began sending money to Rep. Tom DeLay (R-TX), a longtime congressman who later became House Majority Leader. He also suggested that the mafia was sending money to other Republicans as well.

“I believe most of the GOP leadership has been compromised by” Russian money, the author added. “The Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee run by Mitch McConnell got millions from [Soviet-born businessman] Leonard Blavatnik.”

“As for the endgame,” Unger concluded, “I think it is already [beginning] to unravel.”

He certainly lives rent free in Trump's mind. It must be cramped in there.

  5. Russia has a long history with Leftists as has been seen in the labor movement, the University of Chicago and other Universities, and the Communist Party. After WWII, The Republicans were very anti-Communist. If the Russians were able to infiltrate the Republicans as well, we are in trouble. Then again, there are corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisle and Russia itself is known for its own internal corruption.

Obama started his political career in earnest in Chicago and was a beneficiary of influence pedelling and received a large “sign on bonus” through a sham real estate transaction. There was big money behind Obama at the start. Obama furthered a Socialist agenda through Obamacare and other measures. Where do you think he got his funding from? Mueller and Russia interference has been around for at least decades, why is he just now getting interested in Russia? I suspect it is because Trump is a threat to the status quo with his “clean up the swamp” rhetoric and it was supposed to be Hilary’s turn to be President. However, Hilary said some offensive things about Putin and they had a falling out.

Trump needs to use the situation between Putin and Hilary to his advantage. Putin may be willing to exchange dirt on the Democratic Party in exchange for cooperation in other matters. The Democrats would argue conspiracy, but conspiracy has been a long part of their politics.

Here comes the inbred Con with his deflection.

First the point was that Manafort couldn't have met Assange because of his passports but when pointed out that he had many and traveled under fake names, the argument changed to 'it wasn't a big deal' at all.

Lying dishonest Cons, no wonder you worship a life long liar and scammer.

Typical Conspiratard blathering nonsense, when he gets his ass handed to him, he resorts to wacky conspiracies.

Ironically complains about Islamists when his messiah is tongue rimming Saudi's everyday because he was paid to do it.
