Frankly, I don't see anything wrong you might have done with your posts. Actually, most of them were even difficult to understand even for people in the know. You also often refused to give much details on them and now they are saying that you should provide evidence that you didn't do otherwise?????? This is weird. Also, they have full access to all your accounts: they can check for themselves. This is really strange and SEC must decide if they are there to help market players or they are there just to bother us.
This sounds like "you're guilty unless proven innocent". If this works like that any person keeping a journal in ET can be subject to a SEC investigation on same ground. Picking up an entire year of trade history posts can be a nightmare.
This is crazy. I just hope that this is just an excuse and that des has found a hot babe, whom is funnier to spend the time with.
That makes no sense. Why would they care about what you do in regards to your account and what you post online? And whoever quoted Elon musk issue was completely off base. He's a fucking CEO of a A PUBLIC COMPANY..so misleading tweets on direction of company deserve investigation. Was that post suppose to relate to this journal? And how were you contacted? By email? letter?, Call? If by email, i wonder if the email from regulator isn't fake, like those emails from Nigerian prince asking your help in order for you to get money lol. Careful man, you start giving docs to people over email, next thing you know your account is locked. One thing I learn about fraud, especially regulator fraud like the IRS fraud for example, is that those mofos won't send you email, or call. They send you official letter heads by mail or forms of ID through visitation. In fact you should verify by calling official numbers. Im sure this is similar to SEC or CME investigation... https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/how-to-know-its-really-the-irs-calling-or-knocking-on-your-door
Sorry to read this pile of crap, especially if it is as a result of some tool whiner on ET. As stupid as it sounds your posts kind of motivated me to get back to options and start expanding my trading again after years of just trading indexes intraday with minimal longer term work. I was at the point of calling it good and just managing the long term portfolio, pulling some income off that and shutting down the computers for the most part. Anyway, again thanks for your posts !
[for those who don't know or, you're not in a position where you have Compliance breathing down your neck, Compliance can be total d*cks] Compliance geeks generally do not like SocMedia. Depending on who they are, and the particular regulatory environment the Trader happens to be working under [RIA, FO, Prop, HF...etc.] they can and do shut we traders down completely. Dest is lucky he's able to post at all. Fuxx you ET haters!! You can't do what he does so you have to make it hard on him. EFF U!! Eff the haters man. Do what you do, wherever it happens to be.
Thanks Kev. I will not be goaded into pissing-off regulators. All that I would gain is more paperwork. They don't need my permission to post here to verify this... and it's not the first time that I've been asked to comply.
That sucks someone would do that. Echoing others, I have learned more from these threads than anything else on here. Good luck.
