update on this story. i had decided to not invest in him in march. it turned out to be a wise choice. during copper run, there was a few days of ranging, he lost a lot. in a 250k account, he lost 60% in 2 weeks. now, it is only down 20%, because copper is in a trend now. meanwhile, he borrowed 1:1 to invest his own money in stocks, made 500k in 2 months. he broke up with his original investors, because they ask him to stoploss and force him to positions. currently he is seeking more capitals, however i have decided not to invest in him now, because. 1 he is covering toooo many markets for toooo many clients. stocks, margin, travel, meeting, futures, girlfriends.. 2 he is too aggressive. he told me borrowing money at 12% is cheap. and all in in one future is ok. 3 his analysis is not 100% accurate, but he bet 200%. i admire his returns, and i want to chase him, so i have decided to BORROW 400K more from 0% balance transfer credit cards! i need to beat him on my own!
my feel that all the advisory services that tells of amazing performances maintain subscription services because they only advertise the winning positions but do not show their losing positions, if they show both winning and losing positions i would expect a breakeven performance at best
