Stop being silly. Shall we go through it policy by policy? Subject by subject? Today's conservatives are more like the founding fathers than any of the progressives today.

It's the relationship between their own that mattered. Their progressives rejected the old ways, wanted to do things differently so they came here. Today's progressives reject the old ways and want to do things differently (they don't have a new continent to take, though).

French jobless claims hit record high, Hollande under pressure
    24/10/13 19:24 CET

French jobless claims continue to rise. In September it hit a new record.

The number of registered unemployed increased by the highest margin since the depths of the financial crisis in early 2009.

Four fifths of French voters believe President Francois Hollande will not win the next presidential election in 2017, a poll showed on Thursday, a fresh blow to the leader of the euro zone’s second-biggest economy.

Raging unemployment, anger with tax hikes and rows within his government and party have pushed the Socialist president’s popularity to its lowest since he was elected in May last year.

They're a net food exporter, so apparently their machines produce enough to where no one will starve. Not sure about their fresh water and building materials situation, but I suspect they have life's necessities well covered.

Exactly! So in the example presented in this thread, the progressives should leave and start their own country somewhere. Or, pending no place to go, pick a country more to their liking.

The progressives should choose countries where their "ways" are welcome.
