Congrat on your new machine Tiki! Have you come to any conclusion what caused the freeze-up on your old machine?
This is the next project. Going back to the machine with frezeup probs and get it to work again. I have the OCZ 800 watt ps that I purchased for the new build. I am going to give it a try. Also I will be using windows XP pro on a WD hard drive I have laying around. Originally had the W7 64 sys builder on the problem machine. Installed the W7 pro 64 system builder OEM on the new machine and it had recognized the different motherboard, so I had to get a new key to install it. I will go back to XP pro on this. Will post updates on this until it is resolved. Thanks for the kind words. Definitely was a fun project.
It has had a number of problems now from freezing, to blue screen, and other issues. This is after all the work I did on the machine and posted those steps to resolve the problems. There has been a number of replies advising to change the P/S. I will try this next. I do have a new ps ready to go. As soon as I have a little time set aside that will be installed and I will post how well it goes. A real sincere thank you to everyone who gave their advice on this thread. It has been VERY helpful. No question there are a lot of good people here.
