Religion may become extinct in nine nations, study saysBy Jason Palmer Science and technology reporter, BBC News, Dallas A study using census data from nine countries shows that religion there is set for extinction, say researchers. The study found a steady rise in those claiming no religious affiliation. The team's mathematical model attempts to account for the interplay between the number of religious respondents and the social motives behind being one. The result, reported at the American Physical Society meeting in Dallas, US, indicates that religion will all but die out altogether in those countries. The team took census data stretching back as far as a century from countries in which the census queried religious affiliation: Australia, Austria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Switzerland. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-12811197
Oh you're just embarrassed that you poo pooed on http://taxprof.typepad.com/taxprof_blog/2011/03/tax-foundation.html but had absolutely nothing to back it up with.
I am proud that Canada is on this list. And jealous of the Czech Republic and their 60% non-religious population.
The Tax Foundation, fronted by the slimy Koch brothers, is full of false claims and misrepresentations of fact: http://www.cbpp.org/cms/index.cfm?fa=view&id=1469 http://climateprogress.org/2010/03/...l-on-climate-and-clean-energy-disinformation/ http://www.scholarsandrogues.com/2009/04/25/gingrich-lies-to-congress/ And so on and so forth... You can figure it out for yourself if only you were to open your eyes before chewing and swallowing. If only. Of course, such an excursion might violate your no-thought zone.
After a quick glance I'm not seeing anything that specifically refutes the statement made here: http://taxprof.typepad.com/taxprof_blog/2011/03/tax-foundation.html Or is it your premise that Koch = all bad all the time even when correct?
I guess I can't blame a 5-watt bulb for trying. The point is that the Tax Foundation and the Koch brothers leave a slimy trail of falsehoods and misinformation wherever they go. That is the operating principle. Therefore, the smart money dismisses out of hand everything they say without legitimate third-party corroboration. Such corroboration does not include reference to the offending sources themselves, which would just create a daisy chain. I bet you still don't get it.
