Freestyle Trading?

  1. recently i have found it easier to trade just by watching the market closely and just trading s/r. keeping my loses small with tight risk management.. but its more of a freestyle way of trading, anybody else trade similiar?

i just buy when it falls and sell when it goes up

  3. If your using s/r, speciific risk management and rules of keeping losses small and rules for entry...

That implies you have a trading plan.

If so, that's not freestyling unless you've created your own unique definition.

I've only heard that word used once before and it was by a trader that didn't have a trading plan.

He didn't last more than a 9 months.

  4. I started trading the same way as Solyaris. Simple and it doesn't hurt very much. :D

Only time I 'freestyle' these days is in the afternoon session during the final hour --- indicators are useless moreso then, s/r can disappear in a flash, and you have to (at least I think) trade exclusively on price action and direction. Might be less precise, but if you wait for a ton of indicator confirmations, you'll miss your entry.

I am cognizant of s/r, congestion, and hod/lod values - but the rest is pretty much totally discresionary. Not done too badly that way during that final hour, either.
