I'm sensing the altruism. Fine. However see nothing new here....draw two lines, connect highs and connect lows, continuation pattern. Wallah a channel. I use em everyday. On multiple TF's. Trading 101 stuff. Epiphany? No.
I have a taken what is already know and publicly available and put it into a more sophisticated framework. of course, I cannot publicly disclose what i am really doing on a public forum. but all you are doing is repeating what I already said, the markets behave the same way did 100 years ago, ntg has changed. what this thread is intended to do is help struggling traders see that. I am not here to say that I have reinvented wheel and never claimed that. rather trying to make it easier for people who can't bring it all together. I can only answer the questions that are ask, please leave the negativity at home.
discretionary traders at funds do all sorts of things....that they feel gives them an edge. and truth be told, some of the guys who are there running money are not really any more talented than the joe public, was just in the right place at the right time to be able to benefit from the hedge fund engine. if you are a small to medium size fund these days, you have to have a defined investment process, however. or be able to say, in some way how you make money, unless you were some big swinging dick with a prior track record.
Be extremely cautious folks. Joker threads like this are usually test marketing for a paid service or newsletter subscription. Be prepared to receive PMs offering "tutoring" or something worse. the guy cant afford to test market by paying Baron, so he stealth markets. It happens all the time, so much, anyone with a smidgeon of pattern recognition skills can see it in this thread. The advice sounds like he is parroting a trading book. Sumting fishy here. surf
Not necessarily. He's clearly not stateside, so CFDs in any European shop (IG, etc) would be completely fine and the best for anyone under-capitalized. A much more prudent setup with guaranteed no debit on those accounts and no restrictions on trading. Wider spreads encourage a longer term approach to overcome the edge loss. It's obviously a worthless recommendation for US traders, but think beyond 'Murica here.
@AdrianHagh81 apologies about the common sense comment earlier. I should not have assumed that your base knowledge was at a given level.
