I cancelled because the performance became unbearable for even research applications. Even simple historical data queries, like those in your example applications, were hanging indefinitely. There is no point to supporting a fledgeling technology when it is unusable, no matter how much I like the model. Like other professional firms, data feeds and data management are a significant portion of our operating expenses. We would happily pay for Opentick service, if it were comperable to other services in terms of performance and reliability. Indeed, getting rid of our current vendors would be cause for Champagne.
