I have never had the occasion or the need to subscribe to an additional charting service, at least not of the free variety...what I do subscibe to is the adage that you get what you pay for Having said that I am sure that there are some good free services out there and that someone will have a recommendation. In the meantime here is a resource for you to do some searching of your own. sorry forgot to drop it...here it is http://www.daytradingstocks.com/charts.html Regards
You can get free real time charts two ways and each has its advantages: 1. Download http://www.QuoteTracker.com software and choose Scottrade Streamer as your real time data feed for the charts and portfolio tracker on QuoteTracker Note: You will need to register for free with http://www.scottradestreamer.com first (no trading account has to be opened)and then go back to QuoteTracker and choose them as your data source. 2. Or you can just use the free charting and quotes right there on the http://www.scottradestreamer.com web site. The best of both worlds is to have both of them going, register one in your name and have your spouse for example register for a separate ScottradeStreamer account. That way you can pull up real time charts with historical data for 1 minute, 1 day, 1 week, 1 year, etc on the Scottrade site (which you can't do on QuoteTracker). You can do a lot of other things in QuoteTracker from Technical Analysis tools to alerts that you can't do on just the Scottrade site alone. They both have their advantages, so you might as well have both up since it's free.
there is also http://www.livecharts.com/ this one also charts indices [few free streamers do]. it can chart tick data as well. for a limited time, real time is available for stocks as well.. [normally only indices and trin/tick are realtime]. it is a useful backup for me. vpineomatrix
Thanks all I think I find what I am looking for. Sometimes I need to be up to date with what is happening when I am not in front of my own computer. Then these services are excellent. I am obviously not talking about daytrading here...
