Sounds like the Madoff hook. Here is a wonderful opportunity but you’re going to have to wait.

Why just one? It’s just as easy to train a bunch as just one. If the one you pick turns out to be a dud you have to start all over again. Training several would be a better use if your time. 90% failure rate in trading gets tossed around all the time. Start with ten and you might get one.

What difference will this make? One trader moving 100 contracts or 10 traders moving 10 contracts.
If your one candidate doesn’t grasp it then you should have had a back-up. Most can grasp the concept but few can trade it.

Seeing is believing: But again I say that without discipline, I’m not sure that can be taught, most will fail.

This might be the best plan I’ve seen for someone to get trading ideas.
ETers are loathe to give out their trading methods.
Promise them free mentoring for their existing strategies.
I wish I had thought of that.

  2. Good point: if I ask you to show me how you trade other than a few lines to answer my questions, then it's a scam.

Re. the rest, I think I know what I'm doing. If you read slowly through my posts you'll discover lots of answers.

    Madoff? That's lateral thinking ;)

  3. I think I'm pretty good at smelling a rat.

This seems like a genuine opportunity to me. He's asking to be chopped up immediately if there's any scam involved, so it's either very genuine or very stupid.

If it's foul play we will soon know and that is a lot better than Hershey.

  6. Last comments from me before the opportunity closes at midnight.

The offer is genuine. I will have made my selection by Thursday and by the end of next week the rest of you here will know if it's a scam.

No one pays anything or shows me anything of how they trade other than what I have asked. I don't want anything but a teachable trader.

Provided you pass my training, I will provide everything you need including considerable funding, institutional front end, in-house charting/news software, mentoring, support, the lot.

If you pass the first level I will guarantee your trading success at the highest levels and you will be part of an existing private team.

Everything after basic training will be subject to full non-disclosure and I will know very quickly if you have ability I can build upon or not.

Many thanks again to all those who have replied.

  8. That brings us back to your claim that you have "nothing to sell."

And I am reposting my first comment:

There are two+ problems with your proposal

    1) You are completely anonymous and offer no proof or credentials of your own abilities or success. And you have 1 post.

    2) You didn't have enough money to advertise, so you had to SPAM this forum. Says a lot about your success, doesn't it?

I will say the REAL reason for your post is likely to intro people to some kind of service or "biz opportunity" (aka Better Trades or Investools style) to your own financial benefit).

  9. I need some advice and you seem like the kind of person to offer it. I have a number of experienced traders apply but I am not sure how to turn this around to get money from them as I said that will not happen.

I'm concerned they might remember what I wrote. How do you you suggest I bait and switch so they won't catch on?

Anyone with good ideas, please feel free to chip in :)

Another thing that worries me is, what if they say no? How do I force them to accept my offer?

Easy: Tell them"I have a number of experienced traders apply and I only have room for 1" Auction off the spot to the highest bidder.:)

Accept every ones bid and have them send money. :D

    Dissappear :(
