free backtesting

What do you think will happen next when these backtesting services notice that your system is highly profitable and its drawdown is small ? ....

thanks for your response. i checked out this site it helped a little bit but it is very limited in what it can backtest. do you know of other sites (doesnt have to be free) that can do a better job?

 

I can save you some time. MA crossovers don't work for any meaningful period of time (6 months or longer). I have tried them all.

 

Have you backtested all parameters of adaptive MA crossovers?

 

use Tradestation...just fund the account with a small amount and you can use their system to backtest. Easylanguage is pretty easy

Simply: a moving average whose period can adjust.

What kinda strategy do you want to test?

If you are definite about the “free” bit, your options are going to be very few. All decent testing apps and platforms come with a wee bit of cost.
