    Trump, yeah that'll go well.

The issue is, America yeah great but huge oceon between them and us like a weeks transport time, more ships are going to be needed to handle our food requirements then factor in fuel cost and perishable items and everything is going to cost more than the EU supplying us :(

The Yellow Jackets are still rioting every weekend! It's like a scheduled event now. Free entertainment. The media are bored of reporting it though.

However if you want to witness the weekly mayhem for yourself, avoid Eurostar. Officials on the Paris end are all on strike. Eurostar has had to cancel all its trains.

    Vive La France indeed!

France has never been friendly with any countries throughout history. If you look at French history, it's been in war with virtually every single European country, Franco-Prussia war, Franco-Spanish wars, Italian Wars, 700 years of wars against the British including some of the more famous ones like Hundred Years War, War of 1812 and etc., Franco-Dutch war, Napoleonic Wars with all over Europe. So this is nothing new. It's la passion!!! :) As much as I love the French culture, its spirit and its elegance, they are not known for being objective and thinking in terms of the big picture, especially when it comes to negotiation. Treaty of Versailles, need I say more? If France hasn't been so aggressive in negotiating such a punishing treatment on the Germans, we might have just might have avoided WWII. This is the same thing.

US is not the only significant trading partner that UK can do business with in the WTO though. This is what EU needs to understand. Don't forget UK also has The CommonWealth which contains two of the largest resource supplying countries, Canada and Australia plus all of the resource supplying countries in Africa that are extremely mineral rich and New Zealand which is a country that is a major agriculture producer along with again Canada that's already an agricultural supplier to the UK. So US is in a stronger position? Not necessarily. UK has lots of trading partners to choose from besides US and EU and with advancement in shipping technology today, there is no country that's too far anymore. Especially with US imposing tariffs on pretty much everybody, countries are more eager to do business with UK than everyone thinks. And lastly don't forget, UK itself is a manufacturer and strong producer in many facets of the economy. Even if nobody wants to trade with UK anymore just because it left the EU, UK is more than capable to produce and support its own population. UK was the country that pioneered the Industrial Revolution. I think UK needs to look at itself more and develop its own infrastructure instead of focusing on external imports like the last several decades. And when UK does that, it would find many solution to its problems.

It's not a dream. It will be a reality. You will see. I have confidence in UK and its people.

  5. - UK Parliament has rejected twice the withdrawal deal Mrs May has negotiated with the EU.
    - MPs have voted in favor of ruling out leaving the EU without a deal.
    - EU would not likely grant a delay.
    Conclusion:
UK would cancel the Article 50 Brexit process or leave the EU without a deal (in contradiction to MPs vote and another nail in the coffin).

Didn't know about the Eurostar... Yes Paris is a mess apparently, dealing with the biggest riots since at least 1968, the buggers even burnt down Le Fouquets (the bar in the Fouquets Barriere hotel, next door upstairs in the interior courtyard is one of the best places to have a drink in Paris) . i wished the police would dare and shoot a few hundreds rioters but that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon. Not sure why demonstrations are so much more aggressive in France than in neighboring countries, but l'exception francaise is showing its ugly head again.

Well I think we are special! And deserve special treatment. And better conditions.

If the EU doesn't like that....too bad. By all means, kick us out!

Sorry to hear. Not had the pleasure of drinking there...guess I never will.

On a brighter note, come visit London. The weather is slowly improving and birds are singing about brexit. Even they can't wait!

You really think the whole world is begging the UK to be friends? You have still the empirical attitude and opinion from centuries ago. The world will not end if the UK would disappear.

Perople need to use their brain, you do, but for almost 50% of the British that seems to be an issue.
