I went to France for vacation a few months ago.It was incredibly beautiful.One thing however was we found a lot of the people to be downright rude.Grumpy bastards,obnoxious or just outright indifferent-especially to foreigners like us.Yes we speak french pretty fluently but not without an accent.Service at restaurants and hotels is incompetent and slow.The worst treatment was in the small towns in the south and in chamonix area.I didnt encounter rudeness in Paris.I had a blast but the rudeness factor was daily.Also i found the food to be crap,tiny portions and way overpriced-we stuck to meals around 15-20 euros per person...which is plenty expensive for such poor food.
