Most investors don't understand farm land. They look at income rather than assets.
Most farmers/farm ETFs try to hide their income!! They want assets to grow, not income. No, they do not want to be losing money...Investors could bail. But the years they gain money, they will plow it back into; equipment, land leveling, pumping and piping, wells, roads, ditches. Grow assets, pay fewer taxes!! Be land rich and cash poor.

I will give another example that does it in a grand scale...Amazon. Could Amazon (with a normal economy) hit any quarter/year they want to?? YES!!!

All they would have to do is not order 200 to 300 replacement trailers one year. They could keep older fulfillment centers going with gum and duck tape.

But, if they are having a good/great year, what do they do? They will add trailers. They will demolish older fulfillment center down to their core. They will then rebuild those fulfillment centers designed for full robotic centers. Add pavings where it needs to be paved. Work on growing more cloud infrastructure, capacity, and percent of the market, hire sharp tech people...

    Just my thoughts...
