Fox News Gives Prime Time To One Who Desired 'Exterminating Jew Power In America'

  1. Mr. Martin came under strong attack from liberals on Monday. Many noted that the Republican Party of Florida decided against backing his bid for the State Senate in 1996 after receiving documents from his Congressional race 10 years earlier in Connecticut listing the purpose of one of his political committees as “to exterminate Jew power in America and to impeach the judges of the U.S. Court of Appeals in New York City.”

I do think Fox News has begun to dig its own grave; none too soon, I might add.

I will contact the ADL, American Jewish Congress, Jewish Defense League, American Jewish Committee, and many, many other organizations (my head is spinning as I just came across this), and see to it that a formal protest is launched with the FCC and other appropriate authorities:

Obama’s Personal Ties Are Subject of Program on Fox News Channel

    By JIM RUTENBERG
    Published: October 6, 2008

During a weekend of Republican attacks on Senator Barack Obama’s personal associations, Fox News Channel ran a program Sunday that made provocative assertions about similar connections, called “Obama & Friends: The History of Radicalism.”

Sean Hannity, the conservative radio and television host, was the host of the hourlong program, which raised, among other things, unsubstantiated accusations that Mr. Obama’s work as a community organizer in Chicago was “training for a radical overthrow of the government.”

The statement came from Andy Martin, a conservative writer and frequent political candidate who is credited as being among the first — if not the first — to assert in a chain e-mail message that Mr. Obama was secretly a Muslim.

Mr. Obama is a Christian; his campaign says he “is not, was not and has never been” a Muslim.

Peppering his statements with phrases like “in my opinion” and “my view is,” Mr. Martin said Mr. Obama’s political career had been engineered by Bill Ayers, a founder and former member of the radical Weather Underground and now an education professor in Chicago.

...Mr. Hannity’s program on Sunday was notable in presenting partisan accusations against Mr. Obama in a journalistic, documentary format in prime time...

For good measure, Mr. Martin, who made a failed bid to run on the Republican line in the 2004 race for a Senate seat from Illinois that Mr. Obama won, added, “We are basically going in the throes of a social revolution which attempts to essentially freeze out anybody who is not part of this radical ideology.”

The special was shown on “Hannity’s America,” the Sunday night program in which Mr. Hannity does not have to share the screen with his weeknight liberal co-host on Fox News, Alan Colmes....

...Mr. Hannity’s executive producer, John Finley, said that the program was clearly opinion and that the audience — on average 1.5 million to 2 million — knew to take it as such. “ ‘Hannity’s America’ is an opinion show — it’s a show from Sean’s perspective, which is obviously conservative,” Mr. Finley said.

Speaking of Mr. Martin, he added, “It’s one man’s opinion, one of many that was expressed on the show.”

Mr. Martin said he was careful not to present his theories about Mr. Obama as proven fact.

“That is my opinion — expert opinion — if you will,” Mr. Martin said of his commentary on Mr. Hannity’s program. “I don’t pretend to be an exclusively fact-based reporter, though I try as hard as I can to get the facts.”

Mr. Martin had previously said the documents were forged, and again denied their authenticity on Monday. He also denied harboring anti-Semitic sentiment, saying “it’s peripheral, it draws you away from the issue.”

  2. Hannity's Witness: "Exterminate Jew Power"

Calling the Anti-Defamation League, Bill Kristol, Charles Krauthammer, David Brooks, and other defenders of Jewish people against slime artists of all political persuasions:

Sean Hannity's Fox News Sunday night kitchen-sink sewer job on Barack Obama, complete with a sound-track cribbed from C- porn flicks, features prominently, as witness of Obama's iniquity, one Andy Martin, "author and journalist," and, though not identified as such on Fox News, perennial political candidate in four states.

Among Martin's contributions to fairness and balance, this nifty aphorism: "I think a community organizer is someone who was in training to overthrow the government of the United States of America."

Martin previously crawled out from under a rock, according to Matthew Mosk in the WP, to "take credit for posting the first article to assert that the Illinois senator was a Muslim." More recently, he claimed, contrary to fact, that Obama, whom he called a "media witch doctor," has "locked his granny away and refused to allow her to be seen" in order to "pretend he has no white relatives."

Martin has been crawling beneath the rocks for quite some time.

According to no less a source than the Unification Church's impeccably right-wing Washington Times of December 22, 1999:

In 1986, when Mr. Martin ran as a Democrat for Connecticut's 3rd Congressional District seat under the name "Anthony R. Martin-Trigona," his campaign committee filed papers saying its purpose was to "exterminate Jew power in America and impeach U.S. District Court of Appeals judges in New York City."

The Washington Times' reporter, Ralph Z. Hallow, went on to say: "a Connecticut federal judge finally barred him from filing any more federal lawsuits without permission. The judge said Mr. Martin has pursued legal actions with 'persistence, viciousness, and general disregard for decency and logic.'"

    Hallow went on:

In a New York bankruptcy case, he referred to a judge as a "crooked, slimy Jew." During the bankruptcy dispute, he filed a civil-rights lawsuit claiming Jewish bankruptcy judges and lawyers were conspiring to steal his property. He asked a court to bar "any Jew from having anything to do with plaintiff's property."

In another motion in the case, he wrote: "I am able to understand how the Holocaust took place, and with every passing day feel less and less sorry that it did, when Jew survivors are operating as a wolf pack to steal my property."

According to Hallow, he "ran for the Republican nomination for governor of Florida against the incumbent, Bob Martinez, in 1990. The Florida Republican Party disavowed him because he previously ran for office as a Democrat and because of his anti-Semitic statements."

This is Sean Hannity's idea of a source.

Does Bill Kristol care? David Brooks? Abe Foxman?

    John McCain? Sarah Palin?

  3. If you weren't so scared about what might happen to Obama because of his radical associations then you would not be posting this.

It's comical how liberals are so scared to even act like Obama ever even talked to Wright and Ayers. They are treating this like it's some type of conspiracy theory because they are so paranoid about it catching on like wildfire. The only thing liberals can say is that negative campaigning will hurt McCain and that we should all skip this part of Obama's life and look at the issues. All the undecided voters want before they are 100% in with Obama is to be convinced that Obama does not hold the views of Ayers or Wright. And how do you do that? Hmm i guess liberals really do have a right to be paranoid.

  4. Fox News is a joke, and Sean Hannity's career will not last.

If you take lightly the fact that a verified and virulent anti-semite was given free reign by Hannity during prime time to voice baseless claims under the pretense of credibility, you are naive.

Watch and see where this leads.

  5. Bill/William Kristol is a Neo-conservative elitist scumbag...
If there were ever a radical ideologist it is him and his father Irving Kristol - and they hate counter-cultures.

  6. At least he is not Brazilian. :p

  7. Brazil rocks, and Brazilian women are smoking hot, moron.

At least he's not 'Monkey Boy.'

  8. Hehe, and neither am I...
I just enjoy being here most of the time - and Brazilian women are fun too, although I prefer my longer term commitment.

  9. I know you are a moron, but, come on, get some new material. :p
