Not meaning to change the subject but: Funny how reality has proven them essentially correct by the institutionalization of special treatment of govt approved victim-hood groups.
1)Really so your sample size was what? 2) How long have you been a liberal in percentage of your adult life span? 3) Do you actively seek out those who disagree with your philosophy. 4) Why would someone above avg income , intelligence, education bother associating with you long enough for data collection. You see you are just like all the numb nuts who don't believe self selection plays a huge role in everything from who you associate with live ,work, etc. ( Kinda funny they desegregated the schools so the people segregated themselves by choice)
My personal experience says you are completely full of shit, how bout you go poll some people in the p/l thread making over a grand a day and ask whether they are conservatives or liberals im willling to bet atleast 7 out of 10 of them are conservatives. Of all of the highly successful traders i have met on this site every single one of them is a conservative.
That may be true but the crux of the issue is even when one does find a wealthy lie-bral they want to steal everybody Else's money to support their causes too. Conservatives know full well if they have a guilty conscience over how much wealth they have, they can give it away. Honestly I've never (Ever) heard of one wealthy conservative beating the taxation drum to support their pet cause.
They may be rich but that doesn't mean they are educated. Certainly LOTS of rich & educated people are conservative. Adopting a liberal worldview requires you to think outside of yourself and your culture: most people don't even try. Also, being conservative, like tribalism, is hardwired into our genes: that is also hard to overcome. I have never and would never say that ALL conservatives are poor and uneducated. Hpwever, I can say that ALL stupid people are conservative and I've NEVER met a Liberal who wasn't better educated and more intelligent than the AVERAGE person.
(2) I'm 55 and I've been a 'liberal' ever since the day that Martin Luthur King was assinated. My mother and I were watching tv when the news flash came on and I, living in SC, said "good"! My mother, a very conservative, Republican, evangelical Christain gave me a smackdown that changed my way of thinking entirely (much to her later consternation). (3) I live in the south in a small town of 3500. I make my living doing projects and, since 1996, all of those projects have been in Texas. Do I 'seek' out those who disagree with my philosophy: I couldn't get away from them if I tried. I smile, nod my head, and try to get in my points when politically possible. I don't annouce that I am a Socialist and I don't annouce that I am an Atheist: neither position will make you friends or money.
