Sharon Bialek, the fourth woman to come out and make sexual harassment allegations against Herman Cain, appeared alongside her attorney Gloria Allred at a press conference on Monday.

According to Bialek, the Republican presidential candidate exhibited inappropriate behavior when he was serving as head of the National Restaurant Association more than a decade ago.

Bialek said the alleged incident in question occurred down the street from the NRA headquarters. Describing what happened she said, "Instead of going into the offices, he suddenly reached over and put his hand on my leg, up my skirt, and towards my genitals." She recalled that when she protested the advances, Cain said, "You want a job right?"

Bialek alleged that Cain also "grabbed [her] head and brought it towards his crotch." She said that she was "shocked" by the behavior.

After losing her job, Bialek allegedly turned to Cain for help. Allred said on Monday, "Mr. Cain instead decided to try to provide her with his idea of a stimulus package."

According to Bialek, the alleged incident occurred at a bar in the nation's capital in 1997. She said Cain worked to arrange a "palatial suite" for her at a hotel and told her, "I upgraded you."

Bialek said, "I'm coming forward to give a face and a voice to the women." Three other women have leveled sexual harassment allegations against Cain, though their names have not been publicly disclosed.

The Cain campaign was quick to come out with a statement on the accusations, calling the charges of sexual harassment "false."

"Just as the country finally begins to refocus on our crippling $15 trillion national debt and the unacceptably high unemployment rate, now activist celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred is bringing forth more false accusations against the character of Republican front-runner Herman Cain," said the presidential hopeful's campaign. "All allegations of harassment against Mr. Cain are completely false. Mr. Cain has never harassed anyone. Fortunately the American people will not allow Mr. Cain’s bold "999 Plan," clear foreign policy vision and plans for energy independence to be overshadowed by these bogus attacks."

    Thanks, 666, that was useful.

Ok, you want a full argument then about how i feel about this.

I already said that there was obviously some substance to the previous charges as they chose to settle on them. Infact i attacked another conservative on friday for comparing this to the larry sinclair stuff with Obama. However with that said this woman who is coming out right now seems incredibly shady, and there is definitely a credibility issue with this whole thing.

For some reason she chose not to say anything until today, and she is saying the reason why is because she was embarrassed. So let me get this straight the woman was embarrassed about bringing it up before when it could have gone to a court and been done with and no one would have really known about it, but then all of a sudden 15 years later she chooses to come foreword with it and make a public spectacle of herself, when it just so happens that she now has millions to gain from it, how much do you think the news companies are going to pay her for the first interview?

And yes this woman attaching Gloria Allred a known shyster to her cause brings with it obvious credibility problems, as Gloria Allred has already shown herself to be nothing more than a publicity whore.

Do you really think if i was sitting here all day posting things by Rush Limbaugh that you wouldnt be arguing about the credibility of the source? I:f you want people to argue about an article based on the substance of an issue you are bringing up then dont post OP eds by people who are known political hacks.

Ricter you really are losing it on this one, just a little earlier i posted a 60 minutes piece that was all about trashing republicans, how many liberals have you attacked today?

Cain only needs eight more to catch up to Bill Clinton.

  10. I guess what I am having trouble with is the double standard.

I am not really a Cain supporter. Go back and look at my analyses of the debates, and you will see I was pretty negative on him. I'd like to see him be judged on his ideas and competency though, not on some anonymous claims or 14 year old claims that seem to be awfully convenient.

And what does this latest claim amount to, taken totally at face value? Cain had an evening out with a woman and came on to her. She rejected his advances. End of story. At worst, it was the kind of mixed social/business encounter that is common in Washington.

The media went to great lengths to avert its eyes from Bill Clinton's sordid record of sexual predatation in Arkansas when he was running. That is just a fact. Now with a black, conservative republican, they all act like it is the single most important element in the campaign. They literally have not talked or written about anything else for the past two weeks.

At the same time, the fact the media is trying to lynch one of our candidates is not a valid reason to jump on his bandwagon, as distasteful as we find their conduct.
