Baron should create one thread only for mass shootings and then dump all of these threads about a mass shooting into that one single thread. Why ? The United States has been setting records this year for mass shootings...the U.S. averages more than one mass shooting per day so far here in 2023. Simply, there have been more mass shootings this year than the number of days...so far. Another unspoken record, we have the most number of mass shootings that do not make it beyond their local news media. The media is deciding which mass shooting makes national headlines and which ones do not. U.S. citizens should be openly curious why some mass shootings make national news while others do not. For example, what are the common themes that guarantee national news coverage ??? I could be wrong but common themes to me are the following: Murdered Children Mental Illness Males Misogyny and Racism “leakage” – communicating their plans in advance in person, in writing, or over social media Regardless, putting all of these threads into one big thread called something like... United States Mass Shootings 2023 Next year, create a new thread...United States Mass Shootings 2024. It reminds me of all the military bases I've been stationed in the past when I was a soldier or lived in officer family housing when my old man was in the military. There has been at least one visible very large sign on the base about the number of days since the last DWI/DUI arrest. It was a subliminal message about a common enemy on the base and wanting soldiers to be on the alert to not allow one of their buddies to drink and then drive. In fact, the military is not the only occupation to do it. I've seen those types of signs in neighborhoods involving auto accidents, school zones, and even in grocery stores/malls involving children lost temporarily that had wondered away from a parent. Seriously, which ET member has the ability to create a message post for every mass shooting that we have each day of the week ? Why mention one and then not mentioned the others ? Yet, when one particular mass shooting catches someone's attention and they feel the need to post about it here at the forum...Baron should immediately moved the thread into a single large thread for such so that we can keep tabs of them in one location with the first topic message post that gets updated every day... "Number of Days since Last Mass Shooting". wrbtrader
