I assume the lines on the volume pane of your chart are 'The Bands' which are automated. If so, how is that possible without coding the volume logic? As outlined in their description above, they are fully dependent on determining P1, P2, T1, T2F, etc.

  2. The lines are the averaged over n period thresholds to display the volume pace.

I see. Thanks. If I may ask, what exactly did you automate?

What are the labels, such as 'F-n' or 'R-n', in the volume pane? Initially they seemed to be band labels but now that's doubtful.

  4. Those are the volume nodes from the Exact Science thread.I told you already, i think. There weren`t no volume bands in the thread.Check the flow chart with the nodes from that thread:

Thank you for providing the flow chart. I remember this chart and erroneously thought JH evolved it into the bands.

  6. It can be, but i didn`t study on that.So can`t help you with the bands, guys.

Thank you! Using that I was able to come up with these distinct forms and permutations of volume.
It was interesting to construct the matrix. There are certain patterns which duplicate themselves and/or part of opposite trends - like a node or nexus by which two intersecting waves intersect. I found that the binary orientation of PVT helped with this exercise.

These patterns are different than the first six and have sub-groupings that makes logical sense. I'm sure other logical groupings are in there as well. Perhaps a clarity of relationships with arise. with other postings. But as it stands right now. These 3 bar volume groupings are the independent variable. Therefore there should be a similar grouping of price action per volume fingerprint.

However, since these micro cycle changes can happen prior to the close of a 5-min bar, the eob chart would show inconsistencies. The signal for an expert trader would occur prior to eob.

Consider this a clean sheet. These are some questions I'm asking on this debrief. I invite others in on the exercise as well.
Where are the dups? Why are some dups and not others? Is this complete? What's missing? What would price action look like? Are there multiple scenarios? Do some paths exclude other possibilities? Is there another way of organizing this info to create greater clarity? or to highlight other relationships?

    Hi Sprout:

I am not a JHPV guru, far from it. At best, I am a JHPV rogue at it's most flattering definition.
I use pieces, which are extremely complimentary used along side my own time-tested but unrelated methods. Specifically as far as JHPV, I use channels ala 1-2-3-ftt, the volume sequence, PRV and volume bands.

That said, I believe you are wandering down a black hole, not to be confused with a rabbit hole. You yourself have already mentioned IBGS (Inter Bar Gaussian Shift). And elsewhere it has been pointed out that bar charts, time-based or not, are merely bundles of information, which applies to the price pane as well as the volume pane.

Now, factor in the various volume elements; waits, repeats (new), kills, gates, failsafe, etc, and you have an infinite number of possibilities, hence, the black hole.

My intent is not to dissuade you from finding your own aha's, not at all. I merely want to remind you that 1) there is no holy grail, JHPV included, and 2) for many, focus on minutia stifles usability and growth.

For simplistic clarity of some items I've mentioned, I've included a few attachments.

Tiddlywinks, thanks for those attachments. They are helpful and provide greater clarity, I'm appreciative !!
I had composed a much more thoughtful response however it went into the ET's black hole of taking too long to respond.

All I can say now after losing an hour's worth of writing is that the drills and exercises build capacity and illuminate clarifying relationships. The frustration endured eventually stimulates the growth of new neuro-connections as the brain supports the mind to find an answer to the question, "what makes this similar to this" and "what makes this different from this."

I see the logic of the naming convention and what caused the Modrian table to come into being.
