  3. 3 ideas + 1

    1)start a b/d or a prop firm...don't trade just collect commissions

2)investment advisory service...web or newsletter based

3)porn site....maybe rent a house..put a bunch of girls in it and have webcams all over...I know its been done already..but you need to have some twist to it

4)market some sort of "self-improvement" item. could be a p.o.s. exercise machine...a weight loss system..hair replacement product. people will never stop wanting these things

Jeez I hate to even think of this word and it, well, it begins with a J, it's only three letters long and I have spotted you two of them. But it sounds like this may not conducive to your South Florida buddies, so how about you guys pooling your expertise and heartaches and putting together a Blue Chip Firm for the Carriage Trade in Boca and Jupiter and even stodgy Palm Beach. Hmm, about Short Term Capital Management of South Florida, LLC. That certainly has a ring of competence to it. Next your going to need an office so how about Brickell Road in Miami. That's close to a lot of upscale cocktail lounges so on rough days (and there will be many of those) you can rehash all your shorts into the Hole and your bull positioning on the top of rallies. Also you can paint yourselves as Patrons of the community by starting an Elian Gonzalez Rescue Fund to enable you access into the parlors of the rich and bored. (Of course all contributions will actually be used to meet margin calls at IB.) Hey you guys get on your cell phones now to each other and get cookin', it's the time of year it gets pretty darn Hot and Humid down there and I want to perish the thought of you guys melting in the Midday Sun.

Also, I have been looking at ways to expand/improve my trading. However, every trader I've spoken to has not come up with any plausible suggestions on how to better trade this market.

Becoming a master of the futures is one of the better ways. You make your bread and butter here. When the market trends a little better you go for your homeruns swing trading the stocks off your daily and weekly candles. Going into the summer It is usually harder to trade individual stocks anyway. But the futures... well.... just my opinion up here in coral springs.

You mentioned that trading wasn't working for you. I suggested a strategy that seems to be generating a lot of cash for beginning traders right now. Check Don's thread by the same name.

I couldn't find Don's thread on this topic. Can you be more specific?
