  8. Stating your position clearly is not the same as being Chair of a party that wants to legislate against homosexuality. Also, Obama supports repeal of DADT.

    As Pelti said, this guy was a homosexual long before he became a Republican. The lie was his Republicanism.

    He took to his job like a defense attorney does, taking on a role that may be counter to one's personal views.

    Taking roles is common such as a priest giving marriage counseling or an alcoholic advising one not to drink. No one would call these examples hypocritical.
