It's gotta be Stacey. I bet it's already a done deal. And Joe will be a one term pres by choice I'm sure. I wonder if Trump will fire Pence and bring in someone new. Probably not huh?
Joe owes a powerful overarching political debt to Jim Clyburn now, so Jim will have an influence for sure when it comes to Stacy Abrams or anyone else. The dilemma as always is - do you want to take a candidate who has many, many weaknesses such as Joe - but who does have the black vote- and use the vp position to get even more of the black vote or do you want to use the vp slot to get votes that are on the margins and need more attention. As discussed, the winner will need black votes but those black votes need to come along with white votes too unless you think like Hillary. It's easy to see how Stacy Abrams would get more black votes - but on even numbered days the discussion becomes how to get the rust belt and wisconsin, michigan type deplorables who felt ignored last time while the dems focused on identify politics and transgender bathrooms. I don't know what adding Stacy to the ticket does for the need to get the deplorables vote. Joe used to be able to get that vote and in earlier times he could balance out that part of the ticket. Problem is, Trump does it better these days. Joe is in a race against the clock. ie. to get nominated and elected before the gaffes just self-devour him. The dnc and all that powers that be have come out now to help him, and it is helping him. But the biggest weakness in the campaign is still Joe. And there is not a dem voter out there who is not scared shiiteless that they are one gaffe or lost-in-space episode away from spiraling into the toilet.
You’re continually getting this wrong. The biggest strength in the dem primary is Joe Biden is likable. He is easy to vote for.
