market makers still maintain bid/ask spreads of fx futues options. you will always be able to get filled.
Are you sure? I thought fx options is supposed to be the largest most liquid options market in the world.
This is true. Options market makers hedge themselves with FX futures, leaving the options time decay as the profit. Anyhow, why giveaway time-decay when you can have it all?
for risk management, positions beyond just long/short or to take advantage of time decay. but outright contracts have their purpose as well
