It's not clear to me what you mean by 'this market'. Again, if you're referring to the last 8 weeks, that's a mighty short sample size to infer anything. And prior to these 8 weeks, there were several down weeks that were not an instant V. If you don't see that, I don't know what else to say... Historically, this is very good period of the year in the market, so that's nothing new. Since 1990, December closes green 76 % of the time, and a great deal of the red ones coincided with periods of crisis.
%% OVER all good year trends on SPY /QQQ + related , strong seasonals, AI [machine learning may have helped, MSFT liked it .] But good thing about hindsight= very accurate LOL OCT [nicknamed, bear killer ]was down month candle + its usually up
I regret the out of body experience comment. Obviously it was a huge anomaly and we are right back to normal. Up everyday with no end in sight.
Understand you, because went through the same phase. Just takes time to heal the wounds, and the state you are in won't last forever, although it will feel. Best cure would be to take long positions now, you'll be surprised how fast your thinking will change. Offcourse the market will tank then, or so you think. That would be the point where you possibly recognize that your opinion is mostly position-based, and after another year you will conclude you need a method you always follow, regardless your thinking. (Or use less leverage) But you think this is BS. The market is just "against you". Been there done that Psychology is a part of trading, see the movie "sphere" with Dustin hoffman
%% THAT's OK. Good uptrend anyway [except last down moVe\ SEPT\OCT]. By the way/ I payed up more + many will /Smith & Wesson Victory model.38 special [''V" stamped on handle LOL/True.................................................. Strong seasonals, not a prediction.
At the rate the s$p is moving it will be at 6500-7000 by December 2024!!! The dow will be about 65-70k by December Earnings are going to have to be absolutely insanely perfect to keep this bubble market running. ..
Yeah, I mean it can't have the most basic pullback, so I don't think earnings matter (even though it will be spun as positive no matter what). It will never selloff.
I noticed ES/SPY recovered from its selloff but the VIX is still elevated. I bet that's the next leg higher when VIX drops another 5-6% back to below 12.
