I cant see either Ford or GM staying solvent much longer. The government has no money to bail them out. One look at the streets in NYC and you can already seeing the taxi drivers losing confidence in Ford with Yellow Camries and Altimas zooming around. I still cant believe that a ten year old Camry gets better gas mileage, more reliable and quieter/more comfortable ride then a 2008 Ford Taurus. When GM and F finally get wiped out, then it just might be time to get in on Toyota and Honda which will take over in kind for the 2 automotive giants.
