I could have told you years ago that Ford was a good company. Back when GM was building entire new factory lines to accommadate a new vehicle design because it was an inch bigger, long before the economic crisis, Ford was learning how to be leaner and meaner. It's no wonder that Ford survived the way it did. How many companies do you hear today actually planning to hire more people in the US? Fundamentally, this is a good company for a buy and hold. Short of another disaster hitting of course.
