Much more types of traders than that. Those the only 3 types of trading you're interested in ?

I bet if you put a category 4. Other type of trading...

It would get the most votes.

  3. This is meant for intraday, using a retail platform, with futures.

  4. They

    Carneros8, take note.

Scalpers can profit from the sloping saw, even while they're working the individual teeth.
Swing-traders can tweak the teeth for points, even while they're watching their longer swing trades work that longer action.

Specializing is good, while you're getting your feet under you.

Exactly...many more types of "intraday traders" than the 3 you listed which is why I asked the question...are those 3 you listed the only ones that you're interested in considering you didn't list any other types of "intraday traders".

Which is why I bet if you had listed a category 4. Other type of traders/strategies...

It would get the most votes.

  7. 1 & 2 never the 3.

  8. Breakouts for sure. Not a fan of picking tops or bottoms, or sitting idle waiting/hoping for volatility expansion.

All of the above, adaptive trading. You deal with what the market is offering. Every day is different.

  10. Same as CALLumbus. All of the above ; have to take what the market offers and be dynamic in adjusting or if I can't figure it out ; no trade that day until it makes some sense.
