Never sure whether you do it on purpose as the basis for all your argument, but strange how when -deity- switches with -God- in your post above, the outcome is pretty near spot on correct...

God is specific, deity is generic.
There is no formless god or God or gods.
Correct: God takes a conceptualized form in a gender, usually He and in the name God, Allah etc etc

God refers to rank, class, and nature.
Correct: websters confirm as so… " the Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshipped

The word deity is non specific, does not refer to form or formless attributes, does not refer to gender.
Correct: deity is the container for all supernatural beings with names like God, E|, G-d, etc & genders of His Hers It.

God is a personified aspect, deity is not personified as a word, it becomes personified when someone explains what particular brand of deity they are discussing.
Correct: in the Judeo-Christian religion Yahweh is personified. the supernatural God is personified as an imaginary human Jesus

Not having a particular brand associated with the word deity, or having all the brands associated with the word deity makes deity in the English language a generic word
Correct: deity is the generic term for all supernatural entities worshipped for controlling some part of life.
Creator for example the personification of God.
God for example the personification of the Almighty
Christ for example the personification of God on earth
Gilbert for example the personification of God+1
or is it God+1 the personification of Gilbert.
either way..deity is obviously generic for all those things

  2. Formless God is not an entity, is not a supernatural being, it is not a personification...hence the term deity or Deity, or deities refer only to a personal form of God, a personal God is not generic. Personal God refers to a rank, power, status, feature...since formless God has no rank, status, or personified quality...deity, Deity, or deities excludes the concept of impersonal formless God. The word Deity, deities, or deity simply does not include the entire conceptual genus of God, but the word God includes the entire conceptual genus, including both personal and impersonal God in its scope.

God refers to either formless impersonal God or personal God, or both.

Deity does not refer to the formless God at all, it refers to the personal God.

This is why the word God is generic, and the word deity, Deity, or deities is specific because it refers to an entity or being having specific qualities that are represented by personification.

okay,....I always wondered why people say to the personal God...

Oh deity hear our prayer and let our cry come unto thee..
Our Deity who art in heaven

    oh ...and why they sing...

    All things bright and beautiful
The Deity Deity made them all.

Stu, as you know it's not supposed to make sense. It's not supposed to be consistent. It's not supposed to be true. It's only supposed to make you angry.

    It's a troll.

  6. God, either or both, or neither.

    Deity, only.

God=generic word that does not specify form.

Deity=specific form of God, personal form of God.
