The record shows the last thing you came with was an open mind.
Arguments based on facts and proof , when no facts or proof are of interest to you. Right.

Were agnostic ... "The only right choice through logical reasoning"... how come you failed so miserably to make any logical reasoning, provide facts or proof or even a substantial proposition for agnostic.

But you are right on one thing we can agree. You had no choice but conclude. As obviously you had already concluded before you came here.

    Quote from volente:
Suppose one day an entity shows up on earth and claims to be God.
What scientific tests will you administer to disprove it's claim ?

    Quote from stu:
"I can propose a very clear and simple test, based on fact and the scientific method which would convince enough to constitute proof. "

    Volente Response:

    • In your opinion it would constitute proof
      Clarify your gibberish.
Better yet, show us how one can use the scientific method to prove that love exists
In your own closed little mind
Post your simple test or STFU.
    Quote from volente:
I came here with an open mind ....

Facts show otherwise . A confused, wandering, illogical abusive conclusion in the form of argument is what you quite clearly came with.

So when it comes to question of God volente,

    Quote from volente:
nothing could convince you...there is no way in hell you would admit you were wrong even with proof.

..that is your own problem. In the same way you are not going to be able to ever understand It was God even if It wanted to convince you Itself.

But you want a mere mortal as myself to explain a simple test, even though you can't even understand a simple statement ,and give yourself no chance of your God ever being able to prove It was God !

So is it just your curiosity that wants to hear that test ?
But your close minded pre-conclusions have already dismissed it, whatever information/ proof / ideas / or otherwise my test may or may not provide.

    Quote from stu:
" I can post my test. You've demonstrated perfectly well that you can't grasp any understanding of what it is.You really will need to do that first off "

    Quote from stu:

    Q.

.....then would I be correct in understanding, you do not have faith in God as a fact?

    Quote from volente:

    A.

I have faith that there is a creator/ designer / something more out there.

Do I have proof of existence ? No.

Do you have proof that everywhere has been examined in search of proof ? No.

I place faith in what I believe just as you place faith in what those in science tell you from their theoretical explanations of phenomena.

    ..............

So then volente, in the absence of a direct answer and the circuitous response, it appears ...
you do not have faith in God as a fact .

    More atheist than agnostic.

BTW. I notice you ask me questions then answer them yourself. That kind of Illusionary reassurance to your own pre-conclusions will I am sure help reinforce the particular virulent strain of that close mindedness you display but accuse others of.

Not as an established fact, but as someone who self professes 3 degrees in science/engineering, you are saying that in itself along with being christian, is some sort of confirmation that Max Planck meant something opposite to what he did actually say.

Logic like that would not earn you 3 degrees, but would get you a priesthood

So expert that you cannot get over the problem in that topic.
Max Planck would be discontented "...with demands for unquestioning belief."

    • Christianity
      Church
      Religion
      necessarily based on unquestioning belief

      Science
      Engineering
      essentially based on questioning.
So once again Mr Self-Proclaimed Expert Witness, Max Planck would be discontented with which, and therefore, with which would he likely walk away from first.

Your answer is what...? let me guess....
    "I have 3 degrees in science/engineering.and I am a christian"

    You are thick.

Logic like that would not earn you 3 degrees, but would get you a priesthood

Logic like yours would get you struggling to get your GED

So expert that you cannot get over the problem in that topic.

    You are VERY thick

    "I have 3 degrees in science/engineering.and I am a christian"

NO, my answer is, you are thick

And this will be the continuing answer you will receive, as long as you make wild leaps, cannot understand what is being said, demand proof but provide none yourself.

    "You are thick"

What was it again your professor answered when asked if you should try for those 3 degrees?

  9. Nice.

Now, simply beware what is knowledge, and what is being passed off as knowledge. A book which calls itself "Book of Knowledge" is not necessarily so, simply because it says so.

I'd probably say that as well if I had been reamed by logic the way you have in the last few pages by Dirk "Stu" Digler.
