I am staying in and ordering groceries online but one still has to throw out the garbage. Even with a mask and gloves on that's concerning to do, but there's no choice.
Your profile says Female under 50, unless you have a relevant existing medical condition i dont think you have much to worry especially about regarding putting out your trash.
Being careful is necessary, being paranoid is unhelpful. going outside to throw out the thrash provides no risk unless you meet people and do not keep the distance with them when you do it. The virus is transmitted from person to person through the droplet of saliva emitted by a person when coughing, sneezing or even talking without a mask. If you avoid these kind of interaction there is practically no way to contract the virus.
Also, keep in mind that we all need to start thinking long term how to live with the virus as it won't miraculously go away with the coming of April like someone said The virus is here to stay, so we just need to learn how to live with it. we cannot simply stay locked in our homes forever. If we have gone through a few weeks of security measures we have already learned to keep our distance from others, wash our hands often and especially after entering in contact with external environment (like after going shopping), use a face mask when possible and, the most important one: self isolate if we experience flue like symptoms so that we can avoid infecting others.
There's an elevator to deal with. A small enclosed space that is unavoidable because I live pretty high up.
Elevator bad, just pile your trash into a small room maybe ?? Any enclosed space can circulate the virus. But even with your conditions, likely won't affect you at all, the worry is likely worse for you. Your ownly, hearing about the 1s it affects, not the 7Bil it hasn't.
Sorry, I just read your post about your health issues. Could you find someone to help put your trash out for you? Or invest in a heavy weight mask and other PPE.
