Cache Landing, Nice to see you are doing well. I probably will put a trade on tomorrow if I see anything worth trading. Trying to focus on my trading as my last trades were horrendous!!! Hopefully, 2006 will start off good. Definitely want to start off right. Will try something different which makes sense to me. Have to pay more attention as any further losses will really hurt big time. Good luck to you. Wish you well in your trades.
By far the best for options? Of course, that is only your opinion and my opinion is Options Xpress is totally awesome. And if anyone was smart enough to buy their stock just a year ago, they would be sitting really pretty right now, almost as pretty as me
Star, I'm not trying to bag on OptionsXpress. They too have a great platform. I personally still like TOS better, but my point was that there are some brokers specializing in options that provide much of the information he was asking about free of charge. I would say though that if anyone is serious about options trading, TOS or OptionsXpress are the only ones worth considering. Cheers!
JMHO but you are giving up too much profit by not trading options with IB. OX and TOS may be options "specialists" but the IB commission structure is superior, fills are great, and the TWS is a fine options trading platform - and getting better all the time. For the independent retail options, stock, forex, or futures trader you need IB. Commissions: http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/accounts/fees/commissionStockIndexOptions.php?ib_entity=llc Good trading.
PFE has to close above $25 for a couple days for me to get excited about it. Same story with MRK only it needs to break $35. Many would say that by then I've missed the best part. I would say by then I have confirmed the bullish trend and there is still much more money to be made, and a lot safer in my opinion. But you may be right about big pharma. We shall see. Thanks for the tip.
Always interesting when the market make a big run based on the FOMC minutes. To me the minutes are old news. Still waiting for the next FOMC interest rate decision to decide on my COF position. Smallfill, How you making out on XTO? Bullish plays are lovin it today.
Cache Landing, Stopped trading for a while. I do have positions on stocks XTO, BMD and ZOOM (this one is more speculative but, position is small) in my 401K but, all these are stocks. Not doing much right now except reviewing my trading records and will be ready when I find a stock I like. Wish you the best in your trading. Will be posting my positions when I do get in.
What's "Big Pharma"? I tried looking it up but no results. By the way, how'd you come up with your moniker? Happy Trades...
Well, it sure took off, but I still was a fumbler. In @$0.95 and out @$1.25. I wasn't present to sell until today, and didn't set stops since I thought it would recover with the onset of inevitable weather. Panicked on the midmorning drawdown and sold before it completely recovered and then some. I was mighty upset. I could NOT have picked a smaller profit margin on this play! Turned around and bought a call on UARM, which is pulling out of a pullback, and minutes later, IB sold the call on me because of too small a margin. I was really steaming by now. 2 very winning plays, and I had miraculously found all the ways to lose the most money on both. I then bought farther OTM calls on UARM and unhappily settled for a long wait til they might move before they dwindle near expiry OTM. In @$0.30, now @$0.45. Jeepers... Happy Trades...
