The entire world cannot move here, even if progressives seem to pretend otherwise. So inevitably, distinctions have to be made. The question is not if a group is being "discriminated against". The question is if such discrimination is reasonable. We know that there is a non-random link between the percentage of muslims and terrorism. Muslims are also a population that has shown a fervent desire not to assimilate, but rather to act in a very divisive manner. There is very little upside to admitting large numbers of them and abundant reasons not to.
So you believe that the decision on how immigration policy should be set should be based on a stereotyping of a religion and not on the merits of the individual?
