I don't know if it has ever crossed anyone's mind but wouldn't it be great if people actually pooled all their knowledge about different firms into specific threads that would be concise description of each firm? I know this is a huge organizational problem, and someone needs to objectively edit the material. Myself, I've tried to contact firms directly and know of recruiters that want to get in the way. And the recruiter fee is what many firms want to avoid, so some won't talk to me. I'm speaking mostly as someone looking to join a prop firm as staff rather than as a trader negotiating a split arrangement. Any thoughts on this? Or is there already a website that lists trader insight into various firms in NY-NY-CT, Chicago, London, and beyond?
