Football Picks

  1. The Giants have won two Super Bowls in the last 8 years.
Cincinnati has made the playoffs 4 consecutive years. Trailing only the Patriots and Packers (tied with Broncos).
Arizona back-to-back playoffs including an NFL best 8-1 last year when Palmer was lost for the season.

As for the rest, they all have one thing in common...shitty QB's year in and year out (although I'm positive thus far on Bridgewater and Carr...still not sold on Bortles).

  2. Getting back to my Big 12 post earlier in the thread, today was the beginning of Big 12 conference play. Right now watching TCU - Texas Tech... 48 to 51 score and not any hint of any defense on either side. Just like watching bad high school football. In fact, on one play I saw a corner back give an opposing running back high five as he ran by to score the 5th touch down of the quarter. The farmers in the stands are eating it up with a spoon and the TV commentators act like they are giving you hall of fame highlights. Offensive holding on every play and no refs in sight.

Its a lot like watching fake wrestling. But there is a way to make some money here if you bet college football. Scan the Big 12 schedules and whenever a Big 12 team plays a real conference team (Big 10, SEC, Pac 12) and the spread is decent, go against the Big 12 team like clock work.

  5. yea even teams I thought would be good this year are struggling bad:

Miami- looked like they never even showed up sunday...and that was their home opener???
Indianapolis - Luck should be settling in very well by now..he looks very questionable???
Giants - I am an Eli fan but he often struggled against a horrible redskins team???
Cowboys - well, weeden is not good.
Pittsburgh - well, vick is not good.
San Francisco - not even sure what the heck is wrong???

Well we will see. It is still early. After week 4 last year, everyone was saying that the whole Patriots thing was over. How did that turn out? Keep an eye out for teams who are playing well in November.

  9. Miami fires coach through headphones while still on the sidelines during fourth quarter in London. Miami player Ndamukong, who is in his first year of a contract for $100 million, says he's lost the emotion for the game, but still plans to show up each day to collect pay.

Texas AD interviewing openly for a new coach even while current coach sits in next office
